The Tablet PC Flashcard Software is in the process of being updated as of Dec. 2010. A prior version mentioned here is no longer available for trial, so I have changed this post. If you are interested in trying it, check back in 2011 for a new post on the subject.
To address the comment below, yes, you can easily create your own flash cards by simply drawing them right on the screen of your tablet or by importing any jpgs you would like to use. I have actually used MS Paint to create cards to import into the earlier version with great success.
The advantage of tablet PC's is the fact that you use a stylus, not a finger, so it is easy to draw, print or write your cards. My fingers just aren't as accurate as a pen or stylus. In addition, the flash cards have a quick response time so I can write them as quickly as I could on a piece of paper. My experience with trying to write with my finger has been frustratingly slow and not as fluid.
